Are you planning a dance party anytime soon, or just looking to crank the bass and praise the Lord?

For everyone tired of the same over-played tunes, paired with the same old video game sounds, check it out: Rachael Lampa has just released an album consisting of 10 remixed songs from previous projects Kaleidoscope and Live for You.

Blur, the new record, keeps the powerful gospel choir vocals and Christ-centered lyrics Lampa is known for, and embellishes them to create a brand-new funkadelic sound.

Mastermind producers Brown Bannister (Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, Michael W. Smith) and Dan Muckala (Mandy Moore, Aaron Neville), among others, have joined Lampa in developing edgy, new song versions, such as “Savior Song (Sonic Overload Mix)” and “I’m All Yours (Giraffro Phat Funk Mix),” featuring Souljahz.

Still recognizable, original tracks have been dressed up with dance club beats, added rap segments and multi-layered instrumentals. Don’t be surprised to hear synthesized sound effects laid over the more organic sounds of guitars, horns and violins.

While this more youthful album reflects Lampa’s migration into hip-hop, the 17-year-old artist maintains her stance as a musical missionary. She may have a voice like secular pop star Jessica Simpson, but this girl has a heart for God and is using her talent to spread the Word.
